The conventional laser interference method for measuring refractive index is highly susceptible to disturbances in the environment， and it also requires a large number of samples. To address these issues， in this study， a fiber grating laser is used as the inner cavity and a hollow fiber is used as the external cavity to form a closed， dual-external-cavity laser feedback system for measuring the refractive index of a liquid. The mode coupling efficiency of the fiber structure and the accuracy of the measured refractive index of the liquid are theoretically analyzed and calculated. The results indicate that the theoretical measurement accuracy of the system can reach 3.44×10 -5 . As the design adopts the integrated fusion splicing of closed optical fiber components， the system is more robust against thermal jitters and mechanical vibrations. Moreover， the samples to be tested need not match， and there is no risk of contamination. The proposed system combines micro-nano devices and fluid mechanics， and it can construct a special research environment required for scientific research in fields such as physics， chemistry， and 等领域的浓度、纯度鉴定 ［ 4 4 ］ 上具有重要的应用。随着现代科技的发展，新材料不断涌现，对折射率的测量精度和测量范围都提出了更高的要求 ［ 5 5 ］ 。目前，折射率测量技术主要基于折射定律和干涉法两大类。基于折射定理的测量方法包括最小偏向角法 ［ 6 6 ］ 、V棱镜法 ［ 7 7 ］ 和全反射法 ［ 8 8 ］ 等。其中，最小偏向角法精度最高 ［ 9 9 ］ ，其原理是通过测量光线从棱镜出射后的最小偏向角获得折射率，精度可以达到10 - 6 ，是折射率测量国家标准，但是该方法需要将待测样品加工成精密棱镜，棱镜顶角的加工精度要优于2′，成本高、难度大且不适用于液体折射率测量；V棱镜法和全反射法分别通过测量出射光线的偏折角或全反射的临界角得出折射率大小，待测样品可为固体和液体，所以应用较为广泛。然而这两种方法可测试的折射率仅为1.3~1.7，无法满足大折射率新材料的测量需求。 干涉法的基本思路是：采用干涉仪同时测量光程 nL 和几何长度 L 的变化，其比值即为折射率 n ，因此该方法在理论上不受折射率大小的限制。虽然基于干涉法的折射率测量常有报道 ［ 10 10 - 11 11 10-11 ］ ，但至今未得到广泛的应用，这是因为：基于干涉法的折射率测量系统结构复杂、光路调节困难，测量精度很容易受到激光功率波动、空气扰动和振动的影响 ［ 12 12 ］ ；当测量高折射率或低透过率样品时，参考臂和测量臂的光强相差较大，导致干涉条纹对比度降低；样品用量大，不适用于微量采样、需密闭测量的样品。 针对上述问题，本文提出一种全光纤双重激光自混合干涉液体折射率测量方法。它以光纤光栅激光器构建系统内腔，以空芯光纤回馈系统的外腔，外腔末端熔接反射光栅将外腔中的光原路反射回激光器谐振腔中，构成封闭式自混合干涉液体折射率测量系统。对内腔、外腔的模场传输效率进行分析，获得了折射率在1.35~1.60内的双重外腔回馈激光功率调谐曲线。该系统结构简单、测量范围大，可溯源，原理上无误差。光纤激光器对热抖动和机械振动表现得更稳定 ［ 12 12 ］ ，解决了传统干涉法易受干扰的问题。本研究在进一步发展光波导耦合模激光回馈效应的基础上，集合激光自混合干涉和光纤激光技术的优势提出一种用量小、高精度的液体折射率测量方法，具有重要的意义。 2 理论模型 1 如 图1 图1 所示，反射率分别为 r 1 ， r 2 的高反射率光栅FBG 1 ，FBG 2 构成激光器的谐振腔，腔长为 L ；待测液体的上表面 S 反射率为 r s ，液体底部的低反射光栅FBG 3 的反射率为 r 3 。激光器的出射光分别被 S 和FBG 3 沿原路反射回谐振腔内，构成双外腔激光回馈系统，双外腔的腔长分别为 d 1 和 d 2 。 设待测液体的折射率为 n x ，空气折射率为 n a ，根据菲涅尔定律，液面的反射率为： <math display="block" 式（20） 可见，光程变化比值等于所引起的光强波动频率的比值，且在液面升高的过程中为常数。计算过程中消掉了波长系数，因此激光器的波长漂移不影响最终结果。由 式（17） 式（17） 和 式（20） 式（20） 可知，单光路双重激光自混合干涉的功率调谐曲线中包含两个频率分量，分别由两个外腔的变化引起。通过解调波动曲线的频域分量，即可通过 式（20） 式（20） 得到待测液体的折射率。 3 单模 - 多模 - 单模光纤结构光场传输特性 1 本课题组先前以空间光形式搭建了双重回馈液体折射率测量系统，以去离子水和尿素溶液作为待测液体验证了该方法的测量精度，测量精度达到了1.004 5×10 - 4 。光路的准直误差及环境扰动是重要的误差因素 ［ 14 14 ］ ，而光纤的封闭性和光波导特性可以有效解决准直误差及环境扰动问题。 全光纤双重外腔激光回馈系统采用布拉格光纤光栅（Fiber Bragg Grating， FBG）激光器作为光源，中空光纤作为系统的液体流道兼回馈外腔 ［ 15 15 ］ 。待测液体的液面作为子外腔的反射面，单模光纤刻蚀的反射光栅作为回馈外腔的反射面，构成一个单模-多模-单模传输的四镜腔激光回馈系统。为获得该光纤结构的耦合效率，对激光经过不同光纤的模场分布进行仿真计算。 如 图2 图2 所示，单模-多模-单模光纤结构主要由一段长度为 d 1 + d 2 的空芯光纤嵌入到一段标准的单模光纤之间构成。空芯光纤的两端与输入单模光纤、输出单模光纤进行无偏心熔接。采用Rsoft对该结构进行数值模拟分析，设空芯光纤直径为65 μm，空气部分的长度为10 cm、折射率设为1，液体部分的长度为12 cm、折射率分别为1.35~1.60时，计算波长为1 550 nm的入射光在该光纤结构中传输时光纤结构内部传输光场的分布情况，结果如 图3 图3 所示。 从 图3 图3 中可以发现，在多模光纤内部传输光场分布具有很好的周期性。对输入光能量进行归一化，则由输出单模光纤输出的光能量为0.091~0.143，即多模光纤与输出单模光纤的耦合比均小于30%，属于弱回馈范畴；仅考虑光在多模光纤中的单次往返，因此避免了外部反射镜反射率过高，光束多次往返引起的自混合干涉条纹畸变、有利于后续信号处理。 4 系统输出特性及测量误差分析 1 设空气折射率为1，根据液体折射率分别为1.45~1.60时光纤结构的耦合效率（见 图4 图4 ）及系统光强计算 公式（17） 公式（17） ，可得双外腔回馈激光器的理论输出曲线，如 图5 图5 所示。 以液体折射率为1.45时的光强曲线为例，对它进行傅里叶变换得到其频谱，如 图6 图6 所示。其中，频率分量 f 1 =17.49， f 2 =7.871，依旧假设空气折射率 n a =1，根据 式（20） 式（20） 可得折射率的理论计算结果为0.450 028，理论误差为 σ 1 =2.8×10 - 5 。除数据处理带来的误差外，系统本身也有误差。由于空芯光纤的纤芯在几十微米量级，微量的液体注入即可产生高频干涉信号。设该系统液体注入的速度为10 m/s，激光器波长为1 550 nm，由 <math =1.29×10 7 ，因此，探测器和处理电路的带宽应不小于13 MHz，否则会造成测量信号的丢失。其次，光纤激光器由两个光纤光栅构成谐振腔，作为测量光路的一部分，其频率稳定性对于测量准确度有很大的影响。激光器的频率 <math 数量级。最后，该系统采用闭合光纤元件一体熔接设计，对热抖动和机械振动表现得十分稳定，但是腔体内部和外部环境存在温差，这是环境因素引起的主要误差。对于一般液体，环境温度相差0.1°引起的折射率变化约为 σ 3 =2×10 - 5 。综上所述，该系统的整体误差评估为： <math display="block" 本文提出一种全光纤双重外腔激光自混合干涉的液体折射率测量方法。首先，以激光器运转自洽模型分析了四镜腔系统的输出特性，又根据光纤耦合模理论分析了单模-多模-单模结构的模场分布特征，获得了不同液体折射率下的耦合效率，并根据计算结果得到了双重回馈系统的光强波动曲线。对光强曲线进行傅里叶变换获得了双重外腔腔长变化引起的频率分量，并由此计算得到液体折射率，理论误差为3.44×10 -5 。该方法具有结构简单易调谐、抗干扰、测量范围大、可溯源等优点，为液体折射率测量提供了一种全新的思路，具有广阔的应用前景。 参考文献 ALLEN L V .
