This paper discusses a new method to apply Fizeau interferometry. The principle is based on that the total intensity of an interferogram is a function of wavefront error. When the standard surface vibrates along the optical axis

this will change the wavefront aberration and also total intensity of the interferogram. Then we can get Strehl ratio and variation of wavefront error from intensity function.
