A Study of the Effect of the Acoustooptical Modulator on Pulse Duration in the Cavity Dumping and Pulse Duration Pressing
In this paper the principles of the cavity dumping technology and the acoustooptical interaction have been described followed by a detailed theoretical analysis and calculations of the macha-nism of the chirp caused by the optical pulse through cavity du-mping.The scheme of improving the output pulse parameter of cavity dumping has been presented and demonstrated experimently. It is the first time domestically to compress the output pules durat-ion of the cavity dumping from 25 ps to 5 ps.
