Near Infrared Reflectance (NIR) analysis is a widely used method for the rapid analysis of grains
oilseeds
and feeds. The NIR technololgy relates the intensity of the diffuse reflectance as specific wavelengths from the surface of a sample to the composition of that sample. Various components of a given product have specific NIR absorption bands which will affect the reflectance of the sample as the concentration of each constituent changes. The reflectance at multiple wavelengths is recorded so that the concentration of several constituents can be determined with only one instrument reading to the sample. The analyzer uses advanced optics
electronics and computing techniques-all of which provide rapid sample analysis with high accuracy at an economical price. The product and constituent storage capacity is 4 (products) ? 4 (constituents) .
