In order to enhance the ground object orientaton accuracy of a aerial photoelectric imaging system
a self-determination orientation method is proposed
in which the GPS system and aviotion posture measurement system are directly fixed on aerial photoelectric imaging platform to realize the target orientation combing with the platform. The analysis of the effect factors on the orientation accuracy shows that self-deternunation orientation method can eliminate the error of the traditional method brought by a absorber. Generally
the accuracy of self-determination orientation system is at least 25% higher than that of the aircraft system.
