Mathematical model of all-fiber phase modulators with lead zirconate titanate coating
A theoretical model of all-fiber phase modulators with Lead Zirconate Titanate(PZT) coating was proposed by simply considering radial strain in all-fiber phase modulators. It has been shown that piezoelectric coefficient

to all-fiber phase modulatorsphase modulation of 15%. Effect of thickness and stiffness of the piezoelectric PZT films on the phase modulation efficiency is calculated. Results show that the materials properties of inner and outer electrodes of all-fiber phase modulators can be optimized with this model. This model is suitable for the design and optimization of all-fiber phase modulators.
