    • Video enhancement method for low-speed dim targets based on high signal-to-background ratio

    • The latest technological news reports that breakthroughs have been made in the field of image processing. Researchers have introduced the concept of signal-to-noise ratio in spectroscopy to address the issue of a lack of physical quantities describing the saliency of target signals. By calculating the ratio of the target signal to the average grayscale value of the background, the contrast can be visually displayed. At the same time, an enhancement method is proposed to address the challenge of detecting low-speed and weak targets in videos. By iteratively applying differential operations and grayscale transformations, the signal-to-noise ratio of the target signal is significantly improved. The experimental results show that the significance of dim targets has significantly increased, providing strong support for low-speed dim target detection in videos.
