This paper itroduces not only the properties and applicalions of bioinert eeramics

bioactive ceramics and biodegradable ceramics

but also the methods of preparing bioceramic thin films.The basic researches about the technology of making hydroxyapatite ceramic thin films by the sol-gel process have been done. In this course

the problems of mixture ratio、sol-PH、preheating process、sintering temperature

constant-temperature time

and so on

have been solved.In the meantime

the Ti-HAP composite with practical coating layerthickness and porosity is obtained.Artificial dental roots prepared with the hydroxyapatitecoating layer are used in clinical test.
