A new image fusion method is presented based on wavelet transform. In this method the original image is transformed into bright sub-image and edge sub-image by wavelet transform. Each sub-image is divided into sub-clocks

and fusion coefficient is computed according to local area square error rule

and data fusion is processed to each sub-clocks

then fusion image is reconstructed. Experimental results show that this method is consistent with image fusion.
