The in pipe micro robot is an important research area in the field of micro robot. It consists of two aspects. one is to walk in the hard pipe
which is widely used in many fields of the chemical engineering
nuclear power plant and refrigeration. The other is to walk in the flexible pipe
which is applied in the field of medical treatment
etc. The paper summarizes the research areas and direction of microrobotics
introduces the status in domestic and overseas fields of the in pipe micro robot.
