a spatial-distance weighting function is presented to quantify the influence of spatial distances on filtering effect. Combining this formula with the traditional Directional-Distance Filter(DDF)
is proposed. The experimental results show that the new filter
compared with the traditional DDF and several other representative vector filters
provides better performance and filtering effect on noise attenuation
chromaticity retention
and edge or detail preservation. In particular
when the contaminated rate is not larger than 10%
the proposed algorithm provides a significant performance improvement with a decrease of about 1/3 in Normalized Mean Square Error(NMSE) and a decrease of more than 50% in Normalized Color Difference(NCD) averagely
