The phosphate matrix glasses and organic/inorganic glass composites doped acridineorange were prepared by low temperature melting method. We have used X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to study the structural characteristics of the glasses.F
is
has adoublet peak:one of the component peaks at 687.0~687.2 ev in binding energy wasattributed to the fluorine in p-Fbonds
and the other at 684.6~684.7ev to the fluorine in M-F bonds(M=Sn
2+
and /or Pb
2+
).The O
is
has also a doublet peak. The relative content ofbridging oxygen(BO) and nonbridging oxygen (NBO)were given. The relative content of P-F bond in glass doped acridine orange were increased.
