Iaser with strong simmer currents is studied. A technique of double simmer cureents is used and the influence caused by strong simmer current on the laser output energy is studied. We find that laser efficiency increases when stmng simmer current is used. The appropriate simmer current is 1.6 A. Laser energy more than 600 mJ and over-all effciency 0.16% are obtained. Ti:Al
