Abstract

The properties of the long pulse dye laser pumped by flashlamp with cyclooctatertraene and oxygen gas as triplet-state quenchers are described. Particular attention is given to the pulse duration and the output energy. Two primary factors

which influence the pulse duration and the output energy

are discussed.
