Abstract:This paper introduces the Polar-Mellin transformation for distortion-invariant pattern recognition with emphasis on the implementation of the Polar-Mellin transform by a computer-generated optical element and by a special TV camera. When the computer-generated optical element or the TV camera for the polar-ln transform is used for correlation, the pattern which is interested can always be recognized even though the pattern is rotated or seale-changed or shifted. In this paper, two kinds of distortion-invariant systems for pattern recognition using the computer-generated optical element and the TV comera are given. Computer simulations and primary experiments have proven that methods described in this paper are correct.
Abstract:Microscope usually utilizes partial coherent illumination. When measuring its veiling glare character (VGC),it is necessory to consider the effect of its illuminating system. It has been shown experimentally that the variation of coherence on object plane along with the changes of N. A. of the illuminating system has a very small influence on the measurement of VGC for the microscope objectives with low and middle magnificatians. Therefore an incoherent integrating sphere extended source can be used for measuring the VGI of microscope objectives. This paper represents an analysis and disscussion on related problems.
Abstract:In this paper calculation expressions of MTF differentiation to structure parameters r,d,n are derived, and that to eccentric error δ and partial figure △N are given. These expressions are very useful for calculating tolerances with optimization method and optical automatic design in which the performance target can be MTF.
Abstract:In order to decrease the manufacturing cost of glass, a composition of glass introdnced in this paper is free of germanium dioxide. Because this glass has a series of good propertie's such as high transmission in 4—5μm region and high young's modulus etc., it is very useful for deveping infrared technology.
Abstract:This paper represents in detail various conditions for determing boric oxide in leaching solution of optical glasses by the spectrophotometric method. An expedite spectrophotometric method developed in the institute is introduced. The experimental programme of this method is different from that of the International Commission on Glass(ICG). The technics and the accuracy of the measurement obtained are better thom the method of ICG. This mothod can provide important data for the investigation and the measurement of physical chemistry properties of glass surface.
Abstract:In this paper the design principle of formulation of black coating for restraining stray-light from optical lenses presented, starting with anslysing the mechanisn of restrain stray-light of the black coating. Then the preparing processes are inquired and the performances of black coating are evaluated.
Abstract:This paper describes a system of photon counter used for measurement of weak light spectrum at VUV wavelength band, summarizing its design principles, presenting quantitative relation on some performance and practical circuit. This system has a response of wide wavelength covering from 150a to 1300 a,and a dynamic range greater than 108. The system can be used for the measurement of weak light radiation power minimizeing to 10-18W. Weak light spectral lines of 10 counts/s has been detected with this system in the vacuum UV region.
