Abstract:This paper discusses, based on the residual stress and density gradient related to the glass structure, the sources of optical inhomogeneity in annealed glasses and presents a function representing the relation between optical inhomogeneity and radial function r for the ideal annealed round-shaped glass bulks.
Abstract:The present paper deals with the mechanism of different frequency components of transmission errors of the harmonic gear drive. The theoretical analysis was carried out for the beat frequency phenomenon of transmission errors. Based on the experimentation and the power spectrum figure of transmission errors, the theoretical analysis has been certified, to be correct.
Abstract:A study has been made on the pneumatic cylinder axial support system of a φ220cm primary mirror. By finite element method, the radii of the support annuli and the number of pads in each ring has been optimized. The peak-to-peak axial deformation of the mirror induced by the support system is in 0.016μm.
Abstract:The ionized-cluster beam (ICB) deposition apparatus has been developed and some optical coatings deposited by ICB are investigated. The scratch test shows that the ZnS film and MgF2 film diposited at the cold substrates by ICB are nearly thousand times and hundreds times, respectively, as hard as that diposited by electronics at the same conditions, and possess excellent orientation characteristics.
Abstract:This paper gives a discussion, by means of the rigid-body kinematics, about the linear velocity relation between the grinding plate and the workpiece in the case of high-speed polishing of plane surfaces, and the requirement for the grinding is presented as well.
Abstract:This paper describes alloying compositons and melting technique. Effects of alloying compositins and the scrap on mechanical properties have been studied. The satisfactory heat-treating technique has been determined. The mechanical and the casting property have been tested. A test method is introduced to observe the development and the expansion of the causing stress crack. The property on resisting stress corrosion has been qualitatively explained.
Abstract:The pyramid mirror is widely used in laser recording and typesetting. This paper analyzes, according to the prism adjustment theory, the assembling errors and the influences of the rotary errors on scanning the image position, discusses the properties of scanning error caused by different error sources and gives some methods to solve these problems.
Abstract:This paper deals with the computer aided monitored control of machine tool chatter. The characteristic variable ξ is proposed as a monitoring parmeter to predict the chatter. Once the value of ξ has exceeded the predetermined control threshold, an alarm signal may be sent from monitoring unit to control unit. In this paper, a special control strategy with a time-varying spindle speed of machine tool is applied to controlling the chatter in its early stage.
Abstract:The layer powder of Ni base alloy is clad on the surface of A3 steel by laser so that its wearlessness is improved. This paper discusses the microscopic structrue and properties of the laser cladding layer of alloy, binding zone and heat affected zone of the substrates and gives some conclusion.
Abstract:This paper reports a method that measures laser beam charicteristics by means of area array CCD. This method can easily get the energy distribution of laser beam, and the center, radius and ellipticity of the beam can be calculated from energy distribution. The measurement arrangment is discribed and measured results about He-Ne laser are given in the paper. Also, the measurement uncertainty is analyzed and discussed.
Abstract:The mathematical principle of the effective fuzzy c-means (FCM) algorithm and its application for image segmentation are described. This algorithm is characterized by unsupervised clustering. The pyramid data structure (PDS) can be used to reduce amount of computation, and both the choice of the initial matrix of the FCM algorithm and experimental results arediscussed.
Abstract:A new method of the microscopic imaging, which called microscopic imaging by scanning, is discussed in is so this paper. We provide the principle of the new method and characteristics of the multi-spectrul images in microscopic imaging. Also the method for image acquiring and reconstructing is presented in this paper. In the later part of the paper, we discuss the programming of the system software.
