Abstract:The glass formation regions of the seven Aluminofluoropho sphate ternary systems [R1(PO3)2-AlF3-R2F2 (R1 : Mg、Sr; R2: Zn、Cd、Pb)and Mg(H2PO4)2-AlF3-ZnF2 etc,]have been studied. FT-IR, Raman, XRD, DTA and ESCA techniques are used to investigate the fundamental properties, structure and crystalli-sation mechanism of Mg(PO3)2-AlF3-PbF2 systems. A new for-mula used to calculate the activation energy and the Avrami exponent is derived.
Abstract:Based on the experimental results of high temperature IR spectra, high temperature Raman spectra, high temperature micropolariscope, RDF (r) and DSC-7 differential thermal analysis etc., the structure and properties of glass melts in the Nb2O5-B2O3-K2O system have been investigated. By comparing the structure of high temperature glass melts and the structure of glass in room temperature of Nioboborate and Borate, we found out that the BⅢ-O-BⅣ bond of borate glass isalarge σ bond(poor of electron) and is very unsteady. When intr-oducing Nb2O5 into borate glass, the BⅣ-O-Nb bond is produced in glass as the Nb2O5 content increases. Because the quantity of circuit structure increases gradually, so the glass stabitity and mechanic properties of glass are improved. Further more, the relationship between crystallo-velocity and the temperature, glass melts structure etc.
Abstract:Single Crystals of KMgF3: Eu2+ and LiBaF3 have been grown by Bridgman-Stockbarger technique. Polycrystalline samples of LiBaF3: Re (Re = Ce3+, TV3+, Eu2+) have been prepared by zone melting method. X-ray analysis on the grown LiBaF3 shows that polycrystalline samples have been yielded from the ratio BaF2:LiF= 40:60 (mol%) which is taken from the phase diagram. Spectroscopic investigation of the grown crystals has been done. N2 laser pumped luminescence of KMgF3: Eu2+ displays many center structure.

Abstract:This paper describes several problems about laser frequency doubling. Using a BBO crystal (5.5×6×7mm3), we completed ultrashort dye laser pulse's frequency doubling experiment. In order to improve power conversion efficiency, we used cylindr-ical lens and spherical lenses to focus dye laser pulse. Within the range 290.0-300.0nm, maximum power conversion efficiency η≥0.5% was obtained, where pump averige power was 120mW and second harmonic power 0.54mW.
Abstract:The intracavity frequency-doubling in the CW tunable ring dye laser with β-BaB2O4 crystal to produce coherent tunable single frequency UV radiation is reported in this paper. Under 3W Ar laser (all spectral lines) pumping, the nonlinear conver-sion efficiency is 8.33×10-4 W-1 at 292nm. The tuning range of the continuous tunable UV output is about 288~302nm by chang-ing the phase matching angle. The angular sensitivity of the β-BaB2O4 crystal is about 27cm-1/mrad.
Abstract:In this paper a grazing interferometry for measuring the flatness of non-optical surfaces is described. Many different surfaces have been examined, ranging from groundglass and photographic emulsions to metals such as steel, brass and aluminium, etc. The sensitivity of the measurement is such that one interference fringe represens a change of one half of the grating periodicity in height on the surface under examination. The visibility of interferogram can be improved by a suitable choice of gratings of different diffraction efficiency, or the grating orders. The interferometer is relatively easy to set-up and stable once aligned.
Abstract:Veiling glare is one of the important factors causing deterio-ration of image quality in optical systems. A new method, using the paraxial approximation and the finited ray tracing, is proposed in calculating veling glare due to reflections from com-ponent surfaces. The function and structure of the software for the ghost image simulation and analysis are outlined. A real optical system was analysed as an example.
Abstract:In this paper, we give a set of integral equations which can be used to calculate diffraction efficiency of grating.of any kind. By solving these equations, we give some efficiency curves of gratings: of three kinds infrared, visible and grazing incidence gratings. Also, we analyze the influence of apex angle of grating figure and the choice of diffraction plan angle of grazing incidence gratings. At the end of this paper, some of the experimental data are presented.
Abstract:This paper analyses the concept of OTF in sampled imaging system, discusses the problem incoherently coupled with OTF of lens and describes a new method for measuring MTF of CCD. The main idea of this method is to use laser speckle to produce an input light intensity distribution whose power spectrum has been known in receiving plane of CCD, conduct A/D conversion to the output signal of CCD and then do FFT. to obstain output spectrum. This method can directly test devices without optical or mechanical components of high quality, precision alignment and CCD output amplifier. It is very easy, but useful in the automatic fast test of CCD performance. The MTF of Toshiba TCD102C-1 model CCD has been measured.

Abstract:Hough transform is powerful for detecting straight, line in noisy image or degeneration image, Fast Hough transform(FHT) adopts a hierarchical technique and a k-tree data structure. It leads to a reduction in both computation and storage. In this paper, a technique applied FHT to real-time object recognition system. We now accomplished the computer simulation for the real-time object recognition system is described. The system can output the position of the object in an complicated background. Due to the HT, the system is very effective in recognizing object in an image with noise, gaps and complicated background. After determining a mask, the object recognition in this system is not affected by the background variation, and it has the feature of object rotation invariant.

Abstract:In this paper, the auther extends the theory of equilibrium carbon. According to this theory, eleven kinds of new alloy steels are designed for improving Cr12MoV steel by adjusting car-bon and alloy element content in Cr12MoV steel and adding approp-eriate rare-earth element.By the synthetic study of smelting, heat treatment and mechanical inspection, the optimum content of alloy element is found out. The experimental results show that, the new tool steels in acord with equilibrium carbon theory have fine eutectic carbides. Compared with Cr12MoV steel, the new tool steels have no obvious variation of the hardness, but the toughness and ware resistant are improved remarkably. By adding approperate rare-earth element to the tool steels, good metallurgical quality can be obtained and mechanical property can be improved.
