Abstract:In this paper, we introduced the reasons and recent trends in compression of Multispectral Imagery,and specially described two better coding schemes,i.e.Transform Coding(TC) and Vector Quantization(VQ),as well as compared the performances of the recent compression schemes.
Abstract:Microgripper is the most typical microeffector.It can be used as robot's hand,which is connected with any multiple DOF driving appatus to realize real robot.The success of the microgripper technique is closely concerned with the system technique,such as microassembly,micromanipulation,microweld and microenvelop.Because of the importance and wide usage of the microgripper,the microgripper has become the most vital area in MEMS field recently.First this article introduces the physics phenomenon about clamping microobjects with microgrippers.Second the article explains the discipline of the adhensive forces between the object and the gripper paws,and the reduction methods for them.At the end of the article,we introduce several different work principles based on our research work,and point out the future of the microgripper.
Abstract:Non-diffracting beams have the property of smaller cetral spot diameter and longer propagation distance.If they are applied in precision otpical measurement filed,many problems which are difficulty to slove with traditional optical methods will be solved.In this paper,the theory,propagation property and gerneration methods of zero-order and high-order Bessel non diffracting beams have been given.Comparsion of the generation methods and application of non diffracting beams have been discussed as well.

Abstract:Due to space limit, the motion equations are often coupled when the micro positioning stage has multiple links and freedoms. Thus, synthesis and decouple are necessary. In this paper, the Screw Theory was applied to study the problem and an example was given to explain this decoupling design method. Then this will be a great help to obtain fine motion accuracy, correct driving point position and the reasonable structure to reduce dynamic interference between freedoms.
Abstract:In this paper,the design of structure of milli gripper using piezo-electric actuator is presented,the calculating method of deformation of gripper to be integrated by PZT piezo-electric actuator and flexible hinge is described.Two modified structures of grippers for enlarging deformation also are introduced.
Abstract:Micromanipulaton system does 3-D fine manipulation.Therefore the visual sensor must provide stereoscopic image. Based on the discussion of the fundamental and development of stereoscopic imaging,the author of this paper applies the binocular field sequential display technique to the design and implementation of a stereo microscopic imaging system used in a micromanipulation system.The advantages and disadvantages of the system are also pointed out.

Abstract:In order to accomplish the positioning control fast and precisely,a pang-pang control scheme combined with linear control is proposed in optical-electrical system.Based on the stability and no overshoot of system,the transformation criterion of two control is deduced,the rule of confirming transformation point is represented.The algorithm is proved to be effective by the experimental result.

Abstract:The microcomputer control system has been extensively used in energy-saving field.In this paper,we introduce a new method for supplying water system in which motor rotation speed is controled by microcomputer.This method has many new features for users,such as,the functions of fault display,self diagnosis,especially the parameters adaptive adjusting which makes the system easy to maintain.The sets of device consists of industrial control single-chip microcomputer,frequency converter,motor, and pump.This system is cheap and convenient for users.
Abstract:An image metrology method using linear array CCD camera is discussed in this paper. With the digital display working table that can move in Z、Y dimensions and rotate around the Z-axis, the 3-D external profile of an irregular rotary object is detected. In order to get the sub-pixel resolution, the original data image from CCD is processed by Marr's edge position detecting algorithm, and the zero-cross position is detected by the least square fitting method. In the measurement of an irregular rotary part which has the size of Φ200 mm, the measure resolution of the detecting system reaches the μm level.

Abstract:Conventional geometric optics method is a kind of important measurement methods.Combined with optoelectronical techniques,it has advantages of high precision,quick response,easiness to real-time control and noncontact.But its function is liable to be ruined by the defocusensess of both the illuminating and imaging systems,which limit the measurement accurracy of the system and even make the system disable when sometimes the range extends.It is presented in this paper a method to transform the beam by an axicon.It makes parallel beam(or Gause beam)have very good properties of field and energe arrangement in a relatively large depth which improves the system's measurement range without loss of precision.Two simple examples are given to demonstrate its application.
Abstract:An instrument based on area-array CCD devices for measuring stresses in semiconductor materials is studied and realized.The basic principle of measurement is presented.The optical system,hardware controlling system and measuring software are designed.The experimental results of stresses in SiO2 and Si3N4 film on Si substrate are given.

Abstract:In this paper,based on the analysis of the heating and cooling mechanisms within an edge-cooled and end pumped laser rod,we simplify the heat transfer equation in an axisymmetric system into a one-dimension one,taking into account only the radial heat flow.As an application,we solve the simplified equation to derive the expressions of the temperature distribution in two practical cases,that is,in laser rods end-pumped by a Gaussian beam or a top-hat beam,respectively.The results tell that a pump source with intensity of Gaussian shape causes to a higher temperature rise and a more severe nonuniform temperature distribution within the rod than that caused by a top-hat source with a pump radius the same as the former.The discussion is cast into a nondimensional form so that the results can be applied to various materials.
